hello this is my first time on the forum and hope you guys can help? weve got a w reg scooby turbo she is standard apart from a dump valve and an sti exhaust. the car will rev with no problem when stationery but when driving it will start to judder or miss at around 4000rpm . has anybody got any ideas?as the fault is driving me mad as i cant use the car to its full potential. many thanks nik

 

plugs , gapping , is it when you put foot down or steady away .. ,,, do an ecu check first just to be sure ....

 

hi just like me on my 95 scoob is it when it boosts as mine was and i changed plugs (35 quid) prob gone

 

maf sensor, plugs, boost solenoid dirty, leaking boost pipes.

 

A couple of years ago I used to get a misfire at around 80, turned out to be a cracked sparkplug, the mechanic had put a hair line crack in one when installing them a couple of week before.

 

Had similar problems with my MY00, although the hesitation was usually on light throttle at various revs. Replace MAF, Lambda, plugs and leads. This improved matters but problem was still there slightly. Replaced the MY00 Ecu (AE802) with a ecu from a MY99 (AE801) and the problem disappeared. Car drives smooth right through rev range now. It's like a different car with the AE801 in and it's quicker!!
