Hi, newby question which may be obvious to you all but......

i want to remove the fog light covers on my bug eye Sti (1992 model) to do some polishing and cleaning. There appears to be a crosshead screw securing each cover, but i have carefully attempted to remove the screw without success.

Is this the method of removing the covers or am i missing something. The screw may just be overtightened, but i dont want to break anything trying to remove it or the covers.

Any advice please???

should have read 2002 STi not 1992

 

They alwas rust in matey, the best way is to tease the covers off to gain access to the mounting bolts behind. Undo these and then you can soak the lil bastid over night in penetrating oil, that way you can re fit them the easy way.
