Over the last 8 years I've owned about 15 different cars, and never had a single stone chip or crack due to stone chip on my windscreens... but 2 weeks after getting my MY00 UK turbo I had to have a replacement windscreen.. and now, a couple of weeks into P1 ownership I get a stone chip that looks like it might end up cracking the windscreen... always happens when I'm obeying the 2 second gap rule too!!! dag nam it!!!!!!!!

Alex

PS. and do flies now have super glue for blood, the little b@ggers stick quite well!!

Replaced my windscreen twice (needed a third one when I sold it) on my last car, but after 4 months the Scooby has only 1 chip, so I am quite happy.

PS Have wondered why car makers do not use flies for making paint, it must be stronger than the stuff they use at the moment.

Wink

Good point Robertio, perhaps prodrive should have considered using flies in the paint on the slide skirts and P1 spoiler! ;o)

Thumbs up

Or maybe coat them in the material they use to make plane black boxes, they always survive anything!

Coat your car in black box material and you would be immume!

It's been my experience that Subaru uses very thin paint coats. (This coming from what I've seen at the dealerships.) May have something to do with it.
