Any idea what the maximum speed will be from 1st up to 6th with the following
Uk 6 speed box,3.9 back axle
I will be producing around 550 -600 bhp ,
any ideas of speed at 8,500 rpm?

With 215/45 R17 tyres I make it 211 mph

But of course will 600HP be enough? And will it be developed at 8500 rpm?

 

prob around 185-190mph will be max, then will run out of power to go any higher due to wind resistance cos when you get to that high speed impreza's arnt that aerodynamic

 

UK 6 speed needs a 3.545 rear, but final drive is indeed 3.9

I worked it out to be around 200mph at 8,000 rpm iirc

And I think you will need around a good 600bhp to crack a proper 200mph

And yes I have experience of scoobs doing 200mph as I was at bruntingthorpe with Mark (lateral), AndyF and Pavlo for the stroker shootout.

Hope you dont mind me asking but is it easy to change (up) the gear ratios of a uk sti 6 speed without much cost? What parts need replacing?
