Default How much shifter slop is normal??

was on my way to work this morning and noticed that my shifter seems to be moving side to side a tad bit more than usual...i'm not sure if i'm imagining things...Front to back seems as ususal....only side to side seems weird now.

if its indeed too slack what could be the cause?? bushes??

I'm running the 5mt STI short shifter. how much slack are you guys getting in neutral?? side to side...

anyway, turns out to be the bushing in the coupling. got it replaced. all is good now.

oh just in case some of you are wondering how much flop is it when new....its about 1/4 to 1/2 inch side to side and around 1/6 inch front to back.
