Default STi 6 - Exhaust centre section swap

Will putting a centre section (with a cat) back on after the cars been mapped (by AndyF) for a full decat exhaust cause any problems? Will there be any big loss in power?

You sure? How do you get through an MOT as replaing the downpipe CAT is much harder and must cost a bit each time an MOT comes round.

Use a UK centre to get through MOT. Normal driving will not a be a problem with the cat in place, but contact Andy to confirm. Issue is that you introduce back-pressure with cat; depending how agressive boost profile is you may run into problems if you find you have to warm the cat up to pass the MOT (warm it up = rag the nuts off it for 10 mins....). Chances are, boost will simply drop off a bit at WOT with cat in place, but check to be sure.

Only replaced centre for a straight through pipe. Still got downpipe cat. Think most JDM classics only have one cat.

Might get one of these then unless I can find a friendly MOT centre. Can someone PM me if they know any in Buckinghamshire?
