or do ya just wait until strange noises are heard!?

For a regular road car... using oil, water, failing emissions, poor performance, poor economy, detonation assuming there are no other causes?

What is the history of your engine - mileage, mods, use, symptoms?

no symptoms, its a standard import WRX, done 70thou! seems ok though!!

70 thou its not broke in yet!!!
Mine is just under 130k with a few mods (power fc full decat etc)
Wouldnt worry to much as long as its serviced regulary
