Default Upgrading the Handling

Thinking about upgrading the handling on MY 03 WRX. Looking into the rear ARB and an anti-lift kit.

Maybe the springs could be changed to lower the centre of gravity, but don't want to get a bone shaking civic type-r feel...

Costs around £500 notes fitted, but should I upgrade other parts i.e. drop links whilst the work is being carried out?? Also, what about the front ARB?

Steel droplinks are very cheap, so worth getting.

What you've got there sounds like a good start, I'd say 22mm rear bar if you're keeping the front standard which would seem acceptable.

After that consider STI springs and dampers maybe camber bolts and bumpsteer removal before full geometry set up once you've got all the parts you want fitted.

That should still leave you with a pretty comfertable road set up.

Powerstation stage 2 suspension upgrade should do the bizz for ya, i did get drop links added to.

Stage 2
Eibach Springs
Rear Adjustable Roll Bar
Anti-Lift Kit
Front Adjustable Roll Bar
4-Wheel Alignment

The powerstation package ticks all the right boxes, and they really do know what they're doing when setting it up.

Not sure I'd bother with the front ARB, but, as I said, they know what they're doing and no doubt know better than me.

rear 22mm adj ARB and drop links make a big difference to newage cars (ie stiffening up the rear end)

Drop me you email address via PM as I have a series of articles on just this topic (WRX). It's very concise, evaluating each stage from the above right up to a full coilover set iirc. It's in adobe .pdf format btw. Happy to send it you over.

Thanks for the advice, think I'll give Powerstation a call to discuss the upgrade. Looks like I'm in the right direction.
