As a quick rule of thumb:

4-2-1 manifolds will give you more torque with improved bottom and mid range, whereas a 4-1 is an out and out race manifold and will give noticeable improvements at the top of the rev range.

Nice one, considering my engine ticks over at above 6000rpm most the time i would guess 4 into 1.
