I've been looking at getting the full Defi three guage pod for the P1, when I came across the AVCR boost controller.

Things I like about this.

1. Looks like a safe way of controlling boost - e.g. you can see what your injectors are doing, good quality solenoid valves etc.

2. You can display an awesom amount of information on it - graphically in 2d, or analogue format (boost guage, inlet pressure etc.)

3. Reckon it would look better than the Defis in a pod, and for a similar price.

Things that concern me

1. I would like to get this professionally fitted, by someone who KNOWS P1s

2. Will I need any ancilliary equipment to go with this.

3. Will it work with the Dawes wastegate "controller" that everyone is on about.

I am currently running a P1, Full Scoobysport with ITGs panel filter.

Possible group buy if anyone is interested

Your thoughts please ladies and gents

The only similar info the Apexi Boost controller shows compared to the Defi is boost. They don't show oil temp, pressure, fuel pressure, egt etc etc.

If you have this, you don't need a Dawes Devices controller - this effectively replaces it.

As Craig said, it will only display boost and injector duty cycle - no oil temp, oil pressure etc.

I personally like the look of them but you can achieve similar or better results (albeit without the fancy display) using a Dawes at a much lower cost.

I would go for the gauges....

Thanks

Gavin
