I needed a new driveshaft for my MY99 UK Turbo (Mine has the ABS ring on the hub) and i bought a driveshaft from another MY99 UK turbo thinking it would be a straight swap but that has the ABS ring on the CV joint.

Can a driveshaft with a CV joint that has abs ring on it fit a car with a hub that has the ABS ring on it aswell?

They appear to be the same length.

Out of interest does anyone know what year they change on (from having the ABS ring on the CV joint to having it on the hub or vice verser)?

Had a read around and i'm pretty sure the driveshaft will fit mine.

The driveshaft with the ABS on the CV joint did also fit mine.

I now have a driveshaft with a ABS CV Joint mounted to an ABS hub fitted with no issues.

i know this is a old thread ,but a cv joint with abs ring will fit a abs hub and drive fine is this right ?

 

i can confirm that Abs hub ring fitted with Abs cv joint teeth type ,
drives and works fine no problems
