Default Change of steering wheel - Type r

browsing aroung halfords this afternoon, came across a smart looking 32cm MOMO steering wheel. Halfords suggested fitting to a Jap Import Impreza would be difficult as they would not be able to source a suitable boss.

Not suggesting that Halfords would have a clue anyway, but has anyone ever changed the steering wheel on a tyre r and what 'bits' do I need to source.
STI version 6

I changed the steering wheel on my type r to an STi 8 3 spoke type wheel, looks so much better and feels a lot nicer too.Only issue i had was with the airbag light which i sorted by getting hold of the sti 8 airbag plug and wire and soldering it to my existing wiring, hey presto no more airbag light
