Default BOV/DUMP VALVE

Howdy all .
I'm thinking about fitting a nice noisy dump valve. I know it won't effect performance but i like the thought of annoying peep's everytime i change gear .
Can anyone tell me which BOV is best, for noise, efficency ?
Also any tips for fitting please gents ?
this is for a WRX My94
Thanks a lot beforehand.....

£75 quid for a valve which makes an annoying noise like a bus door being opened every time you lift off ??

The grannies your trying to scare will think the number 6 has arrived to take them to the town centre!

entirley your choise mate, theres loads out there, The hks bov makes a nice swooossshhh sound and isnt too over the top when it comes to noise, then theres things like the bovus maximus which it very loud indeed,(ive been told).
There is soooo many to look at, Forge,HKS,Bailey,Blitz take your pick. The dump valve i think is easier to fit than the bov but i may be wrong.

i have a bailey one forsale by the way if your interested,i want £65 for it.
its more of a chatter than a ppptttttiiisssshhhhhh.

Depending on how much you want to spend, Turbosmart do a dual port dump valve that allows you to plumb back some of the air, while allowing the rest to vent to atmosphere. That way if you are driving gently the noise is reduced and when you are pushing along you get the whoosh.

I have a bailey fitted.
Does'nt make a pttttishhhhhhhhhhhhhh sound though.
Cant really explain the sound it makes, but it's not an annoying pttttishhhhhh!
Was on the car when It got imported and I've kept it on there.

Certainly does'nt sound like some chavved up Ford RS

Sard R2D2 mate... heard one on these on WRX very loud. Looks aggressive as well, brutal in sound.

About £160 too... £100 cheaper than ya HKS!

To me there is no better sound than an HKS

Also, I can get it brand new for £151 + P&P... USA have them cheaper.

I have a Friend that has an OBX one, and he's selling it for £85 + P&P...

But seriuosly, HKS rules

Best regards

That thing sounds mental, the boys got some solid skills on the driving front too, car hardly even twitches on the corners

i had a bailey one on my 94. easy to fit but i've taken it off for now. some people will tell you that it will make you car overfuel and cause borewash which isn't good. not sure how having one that's atmospheric can be any different to the standard one though. i'm sure someone will be able to tell you. that said i didn't notice any difference in mpg and i get the same amount of pops from the exhaust with the standard dv as i did with the bailey. it willl be going back on soon, when i can be bothered to get the spanners out.
