I own a impreza wrx sti 1 94my import, and i find that the engine seems to do lower speed at a higher rev. Will by changing the gearbox to a uk spec gearbox solve this problem?

Also when i put it into 1st gear sometimes the lever will slip back into neutral, it doesnt do this in any other gear, what would solve this please?

If you change the gearbox to one with a different final drive ratio you will also need to change the rear diff
