Ive got a 6k ecu in my v2 sti which has a rev limit of 7000 rpm, the heads have been removed and on inspection I found they had hydrualic tappets.

I am not sure if the sti ra has solid tappets in the heads, if they do I suppose the rev limit would be slightly higher.

What car do you have?

I think it was the version 3 onwards that redlined at 8250rpm.
