Just bought a new car with defi needles shaking all over the place.

Boost on the same daisy chain seems to be working absolutely fine. Its only oil pressure and temp that are amiss. Oil pressure seems to osciallte wildly but still seems to centre on what could be a correct reading.

Oil temperature works intermittently and doesn't give anything like a genuine reading when it is vibrating all over the place.

any ideas?

apparently the sensors were changed but it didnt cure the problem.

I am at a complete loss!

 

Could be that the sensitivity is set too high..so that the gauges are trying to show every minor change...If you have the manuals for the gauges I'm sure they tell you how to reduce the resolution...that MAY be the problem...
