Axis wheels on MY04

Axis wheels on MY04
Hi All
I have a WRX suburu MY04 and would like to upgrade to 18" 7.5J reverb Axis wheels, I know the overall wheel diameter should stay the same for the speedo, I currently have standard 17" WRX wheels that are 215/45/17. Could someone please advise me if there are any problems with putting 225/40/18 on the Axis Reverb 18" wheels? Also advice on a suitable tire to go with it, I have bridgestones on at the moment and I find them a bit to soft.
