Firstly, sorry is this is in the wrong section but i need a quick answer.

I am currently putting together a 98UK Impreza engine, and was wondering what the tightest clearances that you would let go on the exhaust cams is? Would you say that 7 Thou was too tight or would that be ok???

If not i need to wait until Tuesday and the local garage opens again to try and get some more shims, unless anyone else has any around the bucks area.

10-12 is the normal ammount for exhaust so it's to tight really

(get a box of shims)

 

Thats what i was thinking, shame i have not got any shims. Was trying to get it finished this weekend. Oh well looks like it will have to wait another few days.
