I have a 1997 wrx import, now it has a VF 22 turbo on it which i beleive has started smoking!!

Now other than another VF 22 is there any other turbo i can fit without remapping ecu??

ive wondered this, what is emant by the turbo is smoking, is it when the turbo kicks in smoke puffs out the exhaust,seals gone in the turbo ?

if so, is it alot of smoke, noticeable or do u have to drive thru the rear window to notice it ?

soz for hijacking.

 

it smokes when iv driven hard for a bit and back off throttle
