Question

Has anyone fitted a lightened flywheel to an otherwise standard MY97? I am looking to increase the speed at which the engine loses revs on up changes.

Bet I can tell u what it will be like, you'll need about 5k revs to get away cleanly.
Check with Danny Fisher, I think he ditched his flywheel of about the same wt for something heavier !

I'm no expert.

Mark, where did you get the 5k rpm pull away from? Not me.... Trout?

You will require more revs to pull away, but once rolling the engine will spin up a little (and by little I mean very little) quicker.

I think running this with a standard ecu shouldnt cause you to many problems. The only reason I had issues was because the map on the link needed modifing, once that was done it was a lot better.
