Default just fitted bailey dv 12

fitted on MY04 sti ppp, not had enough time to decide if exactly what i want.
really only get a real good phsssst when it goes well into boost zone, which encourages faster driving when i should be cruzing i.e. around town.
also at under 3000rpm there is no dump of air and about 3500rpm the phssst sounds pritty poor.

is this similar to anyone elses dv12?
should i have paid the extra and got the hks ssqv? does that require high revs to get the dump noise?

mate it doesn't matter what dump valve or blow off valve you've got they will all become louder with more boost pressure used. because its boost pressure that causes the pttsssssttt noise in the first place so you obviously have to be high up in the rev range to have full boost. you'll soon get bored of the noise anyway..personally i prefer no dump valves with a nice induction kit then you get proper rally chatter!
