a few days ago my car had a knocking sound when steering left(only when full lock),then the steering wheel had a loud scraping niose when turning left or right,now there is a knocking niose when i drive and only stops when i brake a few ppl think it is driveshaft trouble,any advice would be great before i take it to a garage as i have been ripped off in the past

 

rule out the obvious first - mudflap fixing bolt heads coming into contact with the tyre etc???
