Default Two cylinders down after re-build!

Hi i've just started my engine for the first time after a 2.5 re-build and it's only fireing on the drivers side head.
I've checked for a spark, fuel, and re-checked the timing and all seams good.If i disconnect the coil packs on the dead side it makes not difference to the way it runs, which is very lumpy just on two!
My worry is,and im not sure if it's possile,is that i've accidently swaped the cams.
Will the valves hit the pistons,or are they clear when piston is up,valves open?
Any advise would be great as im starting to worry about re-building my re-built engine!

Thanks,Tim

I changed one over, the other was too short to connect,as their different lengths, which makes me think there not at fault.I tried changing the injectors over too,as their easy to swap, still no change.
Is there any wiring diagrams online i can look at?

it can be misleading, as they are not necessarily routed correctly. You should have a white connector and a black one, white goes to the front. The symptoms sound just like the coils are connected incorrectly.

Yep,just checked, there connected as you say.i have a set of 740 's ready for when it's run in,is it worth putting them in to eliminate them from the equation? as im not totally sure their ok.Im also going to take the cam cover off to check the cams. Do you know how to tell which cam is which?
