as above really. thinking of getting rear decat pipe and back box and need to know whether it will still run good with remapping ecu. its on a 2000 x plate uk impreza turbo.

i have done the same on my 99 uk scoob an it runs fine. if u were removing the down pipe cat then a remap would b the next thing to do

i guess u have to put on the back cat pipe again when it comes to mot time to pass emissions?

 

As said no problems with running cente decat and backbox.
However decat downpipe is another matter, just gone full decat but havent remapp'ed yet and is running fine. I had PPP fitted so wasn't experiencing any fuel cuts.

Best best is when u decide to go full decat get remap done at the same time and you should expect around 260-275 horses

 

yeah dont want to spend that kind of money got 250 so can get back box and back decat pipe
but am i gunna have to change the decat pipe back for mot time to pass emissions test?

 

So long as you keep the front downpipe (cat) on the car, you should be fine with emissions.
