Hi,

I have just read the EVO article regarding the MY01 WRX. I was surprised on their comments on the headlight type. They did not like the ‘3D’ look of the projector type, but preferred the reflector type. Apparently it being ‘a zillion times better’. The 4car website review also said much the same. Now, I don’t particularly like either, but if I had a choice I’d go for the projector ‘3D’ ones. Luckily, I won’t be in the market for a new car for a few years, so hopefully by then there will be more choice of options for the WRX.



So, just to see whether EVO has the same opinion as the rest of us I’d like to see what the rest of you think. Projector or Refector?

 

The trouble is you get the crappy 'stuck on' look indicator on the wing if you have the projector type!? I'll go reflector - but who really cares, I'm happy with my MY99 and it's headlights.

Both sets of lights look 'orible IMHO.

The one on the left looks like it's been dropped......the one on the right has been placed on top of a radiator for too long.

Anyway, if I was forced into choosing one or 'tother, I'd go for the goldfish bowl-look of the projector light.

Projector, no contest. Moss you get that indicator on the wing regardless.

I'd go for the projectors given the choice - but I'd rather have a third option as they both are pretty ugly.

 

I want one of the WRX`S and i recon the Projector`s look the best....

 

I would go for functionality first. The front is ugly either way, but if the projector lights actually work (which would be a first when compared to most Imprezas), then at least you'd have an excuse for the looks.
