Or is there something in the back box that prevents the fireworks from exiting? I dont even get the "crackling" noises with SUL + NF & Scoobysport downpipe, Magnex Centre Section and Long Life back box - all stainless steel. I cant go the whole hog and get the SS back box as my neighbours would sue me!

Any ideas?

Jerome

Edited coz I cant spell!

It shouldn't. It should just make it a bit quieter.

Thumbs up

I believe it does. The resonator box allows an area of expansion where the unburnt fuel can combust. I suspect if you put a straight through on there the only place the fuel can combust is when it meets the air leaving the pipe.

Modrapheniac gets big flames on his full SS. I have full magnex with resonator and used to get some pops with a dump valve fitted.

I have a decatted magnex system on my '94 WRX and I don't get any flames. May just be the fueling on the car, some cars are rich some are lean.

You will only get flames if you're running rich, i.e. there's extra fuel to burn!

Thanks Gents. It looks like the full SS system is the one for the pyrotechnics but I expect it would be way too loud for my purposes so I'll have to stick with what I've got I suppose.
