cant get car to run

Default cant get car to run

sti ra 1995 engine missed and cut out ...now all i can get it to do is start it revs up to 5 on its own then cuts out ..just as its about to stall it gives a little back fire throught the air filter ....anyone got any ideas at all?

crank sensor
water temp sensor
checked fuel pressure
oil pressure
oil
water
any one no of anything else i can change?

Have you checked any of the hoses and what about the throttle positon sensor?

yes checked moved and played with throttle position sensor and tryed another one off another car ...all we have done with hoses is checked them cant see any splits but cant really here to much as car revs up to 5 instantly then cuts , only runs for about 5 seconds

just a stab in the dark..... have you changed the crank and cam sensors?

changed the crank sensor but havent touched the cam sensor ...will have a look though....and thanks

does anyone know if disconnecting the fuel guage would cause a problem ?
