Default air bags

Does anyone know about the wiring for seat air bags. I want to change a seat but the previous owner cut the connector off and I'm left with two unmarked yellow wires inside the ribbed protective cable. In the airbag unit these wires clip into the end of the 'detonating' unit and there doesn't appear to be any other electrical components. These wires serve two purposes. One as a test circuit linked to the airbag warning light and secondly to detonate the unit. Are they seperate circuits or does the set up use low current for the test and a much higher to trigger?
Tried two local Subaru dealers but neither much help as both gave different advice.

Regards Obi
