Default Deposit paid on my first Scooby

Went to see 2 Mica Blue classics today and have put a deposit down on a 2000 W plate. Hopefully will be picking it up before the end of next week. Had a slight misfire under acceleration, but have been assured it will be sorted by the time I pick it up.

Really looking forward to it now. Just got to pull the stereo and Origin out from my Skoda before the part ex and sort the insurance out.

Do make sure that misfire is sorted out mate, the misfire could be a whole host of things, but you should note that MY99s and MY00s have a notoriously weak maf sensor. A car driven on boost with such failing maf can cause engine failure!

You have got a quote on the insurance already haven't you?

I have got a few quotes yeah. A bit more than I'm paying now, but nothing too bad. If the misfire isn't sorted I will walk away again. Rather lose deposit than an engine!

Can I ask where you're getting it from mate? If in doubt get a specialist to look over it for you.

Ta.

If it's from a 'proper dealer ' then I'd guess you'ld get your deposit back anyway, if it's not correct . Must be some law out there to protect you . I'm sure it'll be fine and you'll drive off with a massive grin on your face
