Angry Had a bump....!HELP

Sat at the lights in my MY01 WRX when guess.... got shunted 5ft into junction, damage appeares only to be bumper, and slight intrusion into boot, ie spare wheel well pushed in bout 2" no damage to boot lid or rear wings, car appears to drive ok and the damage has been visually confirmed by repair garage.Thing is am worried about geometry of vehicle ie could it have affected rear struts etc? and would they check them or should or could I ask them to do a laser alignment.Any advice would be appreciated.oh his Primera looked sick.
thanks Sandman

They should check for all of this mate. They might -however- not be equipped to do a lazer geometry check, so you might have to go elsewhere for that. Do as much as you can to have it checked out....it's the other guy's insurance who will be paying!!

Hope it gets sorted quickly.

All the best,

Ns04

ROFL

You are joking!!

Do not take it to the garage the insurance company provides,
thats a big NO NO. Take your Scooby to a Scooby specialist and let them look it over.

Insurance companys always want to limit their payout, and the only person who loses will be you.

Trust me.. from experience

if your spare wheel has been pushed out of line, then you can expect some geometry issues.

i got tagged at 30mph by a car not stopping, fortunatly the towbar took most of the damage but it still cost £1500 for new bumper towbar paint labour and i insisted on a 4 wheel alighnment, which they did.

if youve had your boot floor pan pushed in, it may be a write off/ when the repairs vs the cost of the car are factored in
