I have just bought a 1995 N Reg Impreza WRX Turbo - can someone please explain these codes MY's & what is the difference between MY's & STi's.

If your car is a 1995, then it will be called an MY95.

WRX and STI are the models, MY denotes the year of manufacture.

 

If its an N reg import It could be either MY95 or MY96.

My95 build dates are Sept 94 to Aug 95. MY95 is Sept 95 to aug96.

Best to check the VIN code on the plate by the nsf suspension strut under the bonnet (starts GC8), then go to the SIDC faq and look up your code in the jap section.

 

MY is model year, not manufacture year or date of registration
