I have a 03 blob eye STI model and I wanted to change the rear to have no spoiler. Apparently you can't fill the holes left by the spoiler so you will have to buy a new boot lid. The only boot lid I can find has WRX holes in it does anyone know if the standard boot lid will fit?

I'm sorry if this is probably the dullest question everyone here is ever heard

Well if u want to change to the bootlid with a smaller spoiler wrx item then u can, not too hard either 4 bolts and lock swap and brake light.. however the problem will be the stiffer springs that hold the sti spoiler, will now make the lighter boot lid fly open like a rocket.

 

I like the idea of my boot lid opening like a rocket, esp when using the remote release. Forget the suspension upgrade get me a boot lid spring upgrade !

 

Straight swap as killa said. I've got a STI bootlid with the big spoiler on my WRX 2003. 4 bolts, brake light connection and boot lock swap which takes 15 mins top to swap if you have the other one sitting next to it.

My WRX bootlid sits in the loft wrapped up in bubblewrap.

thought goldman 555 wanted NO boot lid anyway, quickcall to dealers would confirm it, or some lucky bugger without a boot lid could be in for a good deal.

 

Bags first dibs on the high level spoiler!

I'll even bring my gaffer tape to patch up the holes for ya!
