What doesa JDM mean

ie jap imports that arent available here, or as in subaru's case, different to UK Spec

eg JDM sti's have electric folding mirrors, xenons, Defi Gauges etc...

 

and better performance + engine internals etc

defis aren't standard

 

The JDM speedo, rev counter etc are black with illuminated red numbers, and are (if I recall correctly) made by Defi.

There is, however, no standard gauge pod in the centre of the dash - it's just a clock like the European model. In Japan there is an STI-branded gauge pod available as an official accessory, which is again made by Defi.
