Another Xbox question that probably been answered a 100 times, but here goes

I'm trying to back-up the games saves from a non chipped Xbox, but I can't seem to FTP into it. It just keeps returning errors. I'm guessing the Xbox O/S was designed this way? Or am I doing something daft?

I've tried an Evo X boot disk, but get the led flashing red and green.

AFAIK, you can't FTP to a standard Xbox, that's something that comes a part of the modchip functionality.

FTP is not available to a non-modded xbox.

You'll need to buy an action replay memory card to transfer saved games.

This can also be used to 'soft-mod' your xbox if you want to.

Have been told you can get the files off the H/D you got to unlock it first?

I don't think you can unlock thedrive on a standard xbox.

Can you not buy memory cards for the xbox so you can copy saves from the HD to the cards?

Are you anywhere near Sutton/Croydon? Chap at work will Softmod your Xbox for a few cans I expect. He has the action replay memory card with all the necessary files on and the Mech warrior game that's also needed.

If you use Xbox live, you probably shouldn't mod your xbox though.
