Question JPGs tooo large at 1.4mb

I've has some jpgs sent to my yahoo a/c, but at 1.4mb they are too large to open at home (dial up).

Any tools that can reduce their memory size, preferbly something that I can use at work ?

Can photoshop do this, (not that I'll have that at work).

If you're using XP, try the PowerToys Image Resizer: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx

Right-click, resize . . . simple

Photoshop will work, just alter the quality of the JPG, the lower the quality the lower the file size. If you don't have Photoshop then Irfanview will do the same thing.

Alternatively you could ZIP or RAR the files to make them slightly smaller...

Question

Can I be cheeky and ask if some one can reduce the memory size.
There are six pics in total.

Resolution is not too important, low memory size is important.

Write to me at rcd@tasmanorient.co.nz and i'll send them off.

If you are using XP on your work system, you could always save the pics there, then e-mail them to your home account. On the right-click menu you select 'send to' then 'mail recipient'.

It will then give you the option to 'make my pictures smaller'. Bingo!! Select yes and send them on their merry way!
