Default Couple of new owner questions...

Not got it yet, fingers crossed for this week, have a couple of questions as the dealer where I'm getting it from isn't a Subaru dealer so is a little clueless It's a MY05 STi Type UK BTW.

Only has one key, how much is it to get a second one cut/coded?

For the Subaru Assistance, Warranty & Tracker is it just a case of registering myself as the new owner with Subaru? Or do I have to do anything specific?

Car has the fogs fitted, I actually prefer the covers, do the fogs have to be removed for the covers to fit? And do I need to buy anything else apart from the actual covers?

Any help appreciated

Dave

You bought a car with one key? Tell your dealer to throw in a free key or **** off.

Dunno about the key, but for the Subaru assistance, there should be a form at the rear of the booklet that you fill out and send off. Failing that you can ring them.

As for Tracker, depends which one it is and who monitors it. Again, there should be a form in the pack with the car(assuming it was left). But again, you can ring and arrange transfer. You will be required to pay a transfer fee (approx £30) and the subscription charge.

With regards to the fogs, AFAIK the fogs dont need to be removed, but the fog surrounds need removing. Then fit the covers. Again AFAIK the covers come with all necessary fittings.

I am new to all this Scoob stuff too, but I am trying to pick up as much as I can. Good luck with the new motor!
