Default Weird Noise When Changing Gear

Hi All

I am a returning scooby owner and have just bought a MY99 UK Turbo. It has only done 32K.

When I am booting it and then change from 2nd to 3rd or 3rd to 4th (Haven't tested it on all gears) I get a stange almost grinding noise which I can also feel through the clutch pedal. This happens when I press the clutch down or when it is just on its way up.

It's hard to explain but was hoping someone might be able to help.

Thanks

Hi Gary

No idea what a release bearing is:

1. What does it do?
2. Where is it?
3. How much to fix?
