Unhappy where do stolen scoobs go ?

bit of a sweeping statement i know but a friend of mine has had is WR1 stolen and his sons classic.
This all happened last night (Monday 07th Nov) in the Milton Keynes area.
Plod has found the WR1 because of the tracker but what about the 'classic'?
Would it be broken for spares, new number plates put on and sold ?
Any thoughts, experiences to share. Many thanks.

Some stolen scoobs will be driven by people on here. Many won't be aware that they are stolen too.

Basically, any car that you don't HPI when buying has the potential for being stolen. If you didn't HPI it, how do you know it's not stolen? Doesn't matter if the car is found on ebay, autotrader, dealer, mate etc.

Many older or cheaper ones may end up as parts on ebay or local papers, SN for sale section etc.
