what year did servicing intervals change?

Default what year did servicing intervals change?

did they change on the 2001 bug eye? and what are they now? didnt they used to be 6 months/7500 miles?

Yes, the early bug eyes had 7500 miles in the logbook. If you sent it back you got a new log book with 10,000 miles in it

Some; if not all, non-UK cars retained the olders service intervals though...

UK cars changed in 2001 with the introduction of the MY01 bugeye, some euro imports will still be at 7.5k or 6 months and as GC8 states, JDM models are still 7.5k or 6 month intervals.

is there any tell tale signs a wrx bug eye is an import??

If it's a Jap import it'll have a rear windscreen wiper and probably tinted windows and colour coded side skirts.

It will also be quicker.

If it is a Japanese domestic model it will have a chassis number; all European cars will have a 17 character VIN number.

Nope not correct.. they changed just after i'd had my second service (and first 6 monther) for my Bugeye... when i got it in Jan 2001 it was 7500 miles.

They gave me a new 10000 mile book and stamped it all up.

I'd guess it was august/sept 2001 when the change took place?
