Impreza models and years
Hi,
I have only had my impreza for a week and have like all good owners been trawling through across the web dreaming of what I would buy if I won the lottery.
I see that there are certain differences in ages for a classics in regard to what will fit what.
I have a MY97 turbo. There are many vendors which state parts will fit classics <97 or >97 -00.
Is this just the models with slight cosmetic changes i.e. facelifts models or do they differ?
So mine being a R plate '97 what category does mine fall into?
Hopefully these newbie questions will cease, once I break it and have to fix it!
TIA
Ben

First major change to Impreza's was in late '96 .... yours should be a facelift car with better seats, smaller turbo, more torque, revised front grill etc.
Other changes were made in late '97/early '98 (revised interior, 16" alloys etc) and, as stated above, the next (and probably biggest) change was in late '98 when the car got a revised front bumper, STi4 rear spoiler, 4 pot brakes, more power and torque!!
