you'll either have a single belt running off the main crank pulley driving the power steering pump and alternator, or if the vehicle has air-con you'll also see an inner belt that drives the compressor.................this is what you normally see behind the radiator when you lift the bonnet - these are auxilliary drive belts!!

your cam belt is located behind the plastic covers that cover the front of the engine and drives the 4 camshafts (2 on either head), tensioners pulleys, etc. to allow your engine to run!!?! you can't normally see any of this belt.................

hope this helps, alyn

trying to pull a fast one with them.

i've been told by Subaru that i have a oil leak behind the cambelt which can be repaired under warranty.

my next service includes a cambelt change

i've also been told by someone else that oil contamination to the belt can damage it and the old belt should not be used

i just want to make sure that there is oil on it and it will be changed FOC
