What version is it?

I've got a 1996 WRX STI, I think it's a version 2. How could I check which version it is?

You check the Applied Model Code; an STI2 will be a GC8C4ED. C indicates the MY and 4ED the model.....

does anybody has a full list of model codes for all models?

i just want to make sure the model i'm buying is the what the code says.
