Default Portin turbo and headers

Will be fitting my TD05 16g to my 02WRX next week, how much extra gain could i expect from having both the standard headers ported as well as the turbo.

Mods so far

Induction kit
STI Intercooler
Dawes running 1.1 bar.

A with porting and without opinion would be great guys

Will be remapped very soon but if i could have an opinion pre-map please

Cheers

I self ported my stock headers before fitting headers.

The ported headers felt good, spooling was better, not fantastically, but worth the afternoon it took.
Harvey i know does a very accurate job from the pics I've seen, especially compared to my effort, so the difference may be more marked.

About 3 months later I went to Gruppe S headers V2.

Spooling went up the rev range by about 600 rpm (I did fit the BIG 20g TD05 at the same time), the Scooby burble was still there, and above 6000 rpm all sounds changed to a screem.

If you are keeping everything 'mild' then get some ported headers as they will be better to drive with, and will be fine pre-map.

Graham.

I had a set of professionally ported headers when I was getting my spec together but decided not to take short-cuts and fitted a set of Gruppes-v2.

Porting the turbo is easy - you will need a dremel type tool with a few spare griding stones.
