Question Speed not marking on Turbo timer

I just installed a Greddy Full Turbo Timer into MY97 WRX, all is working fine accept the speed indicator. I have connected the purple wire to the vehicle speed sensor on the green/with red dots wire from the ecu (3rd wire from the right on the top row, on the middle connector).

Has anyone face this problem and has a solution? And what is the recommended countdown time?

cannot only help in that, that is the speed sensor signal you have connect it to..

is the config set up correctly in the unit for 0 to 5volt pulses?

It doesn't specify. This is what I got:
http://www.greddy.com/prod_full_auto_timer.htm
Do you know what the color of the wire is, maybe I got it wrong?
