Default WRX with PPP exhaust questions

Hi all

If I go for the PPP upgrade pack on my new WRX300 is the exhaust a full system or just the backbox?

How loud is the car with the exhaust? Is it regarded as a decent sounding exhaust? Not been able to hear one yet as dealer has no PPP equiped cars...

Don't suppose anyone got any sound files.

Cheers

Dave

the exhast isnt loud at all, its enough to hear the burble and thats it, its a new system removing 1 of the cats.

i think its good, i dont like loud noise, ie, i still like tobe able to hear the passangers talk to me or listen to the radio when cruising at motorway speeds. and you can do that with the ppp fitted

Not according to my dealer, he is throwing it in FOC but not moving on the sticker price.

Cheers guys, I do actually like something with a bit of noise so bit disapointed with that (for the price). I take it you can't have the rest of the PPP fitted without exhaust, then buy another exhaust instead??

It is fitted with the PPP, rated at 265ps, but the PPP is fitted after registration, confusing eh

I currently have a WRX PPP (but not for long ) and personally, I think the PPP exhaust sound is absolutely perfect !

It has a nice burble on tickover, or when moving slowly, but sounds rougher/harsher when accelerating hard. It manages, however, to do this without being intrusive at motorway speeds, but releases quite enough of the quality flat-four sound....................

But should you be paying £21495 + PPP at £1600?

Nice one Allan, may take you up on that one, dealer is supposed to be getting one, just not sure when. I'll PM you, I'm not too far away (Harlow).

Cheers

What he said and it seems to get better as time goes by. Very distinctive sound but not intrusive, I love it

Getting the PPP, you will get the exhaust, no discount for not wanting it fitted, i wouldnt have thought it would bre an option to you...

I was considering a different BB, but, i have had a sensor in the exhaust go faulty on me now, throwing up the ECU warning light. Im sure i dont need to spell out what the dealer would say if i took it in with an aftermarket back box on.....

hello, cant help and good bye...

if you do this, make sure you run the car for a good few thousand miles before changing anything, make sure it all work with the standard parts before changing anything.

thats my advice to you mate

Cheers

John
