105mph on a motorway
why stupid? what were the conditions like, have you had any driver training, were you "testing your new pursuit vehicle"
Get yourself over to peepepo (sp) a whole website devoted to helping you get off, or reduce the impact of motoring offences.
Good luck,

I would say that if in a low risk, low traffic area then you may get off with 6 points and a large fine. But if it goes to court, then attend in a suit and be very polite, otherwise the judge may assume you are just the kind of track-suit wearing guy that rips everywhere at 100+.
Plus, get a decent lawyer as it will make a hell of a difference if you have a well recognised face defending you, so I hear.
Cheers,
Grant
Recently been in court myself for doing 99mph in a 70 limit and was told
that had i been doing 100mph i would of been banned.
I got 4 points and a £300 fine with £35.00 cost's
Best of luck !!

I got clocked with a handheld radar at 128MPH but the officer said my average between points A and B was 111MPH so he said he would give me a fighting chance and put that down. Think I got one of the good ones
I attended court, waiting room was full of chavs in tracky bottoms and caps, 1 f**kwit was up for drink-driving and stunk of ale
. I was fully suited up with shirt and tie, got in front of the magistrate and pleaded no excuse, admitted I was stupid / wrong and that I am not normally that irresponsible.
Pleaded that it was a sunny summer afternoon and traffic was scarce (got caught on the A1) and that I also require my car for work.
I took on board the telling off from the magistrate, yes sir no sir etc, 10 minutes later magistrate come out and told me they were going to do something very unusual and that was not to ban me (ban is norm in Wetherby at 100+) and they were going to give me a chance to prove I can be more responsible. I got 6 points and £200 fine.
Overall I guess it depends on the magistrate on the day but there are certain things you can do to help yourself - presentation / manners etc
Good luck

I got a two week ban for speeding at night 11pm on the m40 from thames valley at 109mph, caught by radar.
I had a letter done from work saying that i am on call in 3 weeks and without being able to drive my position was in danger.
It might help if you have family to support and explain that you shouldn't have speeded. An you are the main income in the house.

100.4 mph got me 6 points and 100 quid fine. There really are some low lifes around the court, and somebody semi normal without loads of tattoos and earrings stands a chance of being treated fairly.

You haven't got a summons yet, you've got a NIP (Notice of Intended Prosecution).
If you fill it in and return it, THEN you'll get either a Summons (likely), or a conditional offer of £x and x points. If you get an offer, my advice would be to accept it.
What got you anyway?

I got done for just under 100 average. It went to court, but luckily I didn't need to attend. Just accepted guilt, pleaded for some leniency and ended up with 4 points and a big fat fine.
I would make provisions for a ban (2-4 weeks) and then hopefully you'll get a nicer surprise.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't think you meant just not showing up, but asking whether a 100+ speeding case would actually need to go to court or not. Obviously, if your told to go to court and you don't bother you'll get a warrant for your arrest

A while ago I was clocked at 104 MPH and already had IIRC, 7 points, got a good lawyer, appeared in court, well dressed etc, pleaded 'exceptional hardship' if I were to lose use of the car, they put me on 12 points but no ban, fine was only £250 odd, I was VERY lucky...
Having a full set of points on my licence for the next 3 years was a bit of a *isser though! LOL

I was done 6 years ago at 105.4 mph. I had a good soliciter, bought a nice suit and pleaded very humble pie to the sherriff and was given 8 points and a £350 fine. I was already on 3 points and had too live with 11 for 3 years.
Just try your best and you never know.

Am off to court on 31st for exactly the same reason (99 in a 70)
How did you convince them to give you 4 points instead of 6?
Any advice greatly appreciated!!!!
Cheers
Gary
Based on my own experience (I was caught by an unmarked Impreza doing 103mph av for 8 miles!!)
Turn up, look presentable and essentially have a letter from your employer stating you need your car to get to and from work and a ban would affect your ability to work. Forget the Solicitor its just another cost to add on to the total bill.
I got a £450 fine and 6 points.
As a contrast my boss got done for 58 in a 30 zone at 1.00am in the morning - he took along a solicitor, that cost him £600, he then got an £850 fine and 6 points!!!
