Default I find this hard to believe, but

I got a phone call from a mate last night who from time to time gets offered genuine legit cars dirt cheap

He told me that he had been offered a 52 plate Wagon WRX for £8200. Low mileage, wr blue. He knows nothing about Scoobies, and asked me what I thought it was worth.

Its still under the last bit of warranty (4 months) and fully serviced up, so any big problems can still get repaired.

Anyone know what they're worth?

For a 52 plate that's sounds like a bit of a bargain. If he can get it for £8000 then it would be even better!

Looking on autotrader, there are a few 02 plate WRX wagons around for £8500 but they have 90k+ miles. Depends how low the mileage is I guess.

Blob eye's were avaiable on 52 plates most are press cars or ex dealer demo's, depends on condition and miles. If it's a Bug eye then it's over priced LOL.

Bargain, snap it up. If it's a Bugeye all the better, rare model and certainly better than a ropey old original shape.

I'm sure he said 30k ish.

He also said (again remembering he's not clued up about scoobies) that it was the top spec model. As there is only a WRX, WRX SL and STI, what is the top spec wagon?

Wisebuys.co.uk says at 30k miles, that's worth £10k at trade value.. £10,800 'private good'..

'top spec' probably means its a WRX rather than a Sport.
