Question MP3 headunits

I'm fancying one of these as I've just put one in the wife's car.

Question: The one I put in is a Panasonic, it plays MP3s and WMA files.

I made some discs on my computer using Windows Media Player, then burned them using Nero, and they play.

Will the same discs play in ANY MP3 headunit, or does it need to say WMA as well, or even ATRAC?

TIA

It needs to say WMA. There are some cheap for a premium brand Boss Audio headunits on sale on eBay that play MP3, WMA, etc.

Compared to MP3, WMA is twice the quality for the same size file., or half the size for the same quality.

I think i follow... No if you burn the files as MP3 then any MP3 player will play them, it doesn't need to say WMA also...
I personly don't rate WMA, stick to MP3 and you won't go wrong... also just use Nero for everything if you have it... even add to the MP3\MP3 pro plugin and you rlaughing...
To rip you CD's use a free tool like Cdex search on google and you'll find it...
