Default 2000 forester turbo head unit install help!!

I installed an Alpine 9845rb in my forester last night. I bought it from Audio66 and also bought the wiring harness adapter thing from them (as recommended on their site) so as i could fit the h/u 'plug&play' style.

Thing is, the radio won't work. it sounds as though the radio antenna isn't connected, but the antenna socket on the h/u will not connect to the antenna lead in the forester.

could this have anything to do with the foresters antenna being one of those 'de-mister' style ones? or have i been recommended the wrong adapter?
Do i need another adapter to connect the antenna leads???

Please help guys

If the forester is like a wrx, then the aerial lead needs an adaptor; there's no way to connect it without one.

Halfrauds, maplins etc. do them - have a look at the connectors then go and find one which fits (sorry, I don't have part numbers etc.)
