Default Honda Bros NT400V ("Project 1")

Not the most exciting bike in the world, but perfect if you've just passed your test or want a reliable commuter... (London couriers seem to like them...)

These really are great machines. They're very flickable, cheap to run and insure. Mechanically bomb-proof.

Basics:

1990 G-Reg, Black, 398cc V-twin. 22K Km (Kilometres)
1 previous owner within the UK.
New MOT and will be taxed on sale.
Single-sided swing-arm as standard.

Just completed a full overhaul and rebuild of everything, leaving the engine alone (nothing needed touched). Honda OEM parts used (don't ask how much - lots).

Interesting bits:

Rebuilt front forks with new progressive springs and seals.
Black powder-coated lower fork legs.
Engine steam cleaned and painted black.
'Fireblade' rear shock coversion - provided more adjustment.
Race Products clip-ons, for a 'Cafe Racer' look.
Black belly pan.
Braided lines, front and rear.

Other stuff:

New wheel bearings.
New waterpump.
New battery, chain and sprockets.
New throttle and clutch cables.
New exhaust.
All service items replaced (filters, fluids, plugs, etc).

All paperwork, receipts, manuals, etc are there... as is a large box of spares, with the standard parts which have either been upgraded or replaced.

I've no illusions that I'll ever recover the cost of the parts, but it doesn't get used and is taking up space that needs to be filled by my new bike (VFR800).

Any offers over £1000?

Many thanks

Greg

Note: A 650cc Bros/Hawk engine slots straight in with no work or you could fit a 750cc Africa Twin engine if you're a little bit mad.
